Stitchiness

 Ive been feeling

stitchy...

so ive sewn up some

 little houses

 and filled them to the brim
 with lavender

I machine embroidered a background on

 some linen

and embroidered them with some

 pretty flowers

im slowly building up my stash

 of christmas presents...

also made a glasses case for Pop...

( and yes he calls them his goggles! )

Sewingfest

 I quilted another top, this one has been in the cupboard for probably twelve months,

i wasnt that keen on it which is why its been sitting for so long. I feel that way about every quilt i make

and when its quilted i think how lovely they are!

 Im happy with how this turned out. I backed it with a chenille bedspread so is a light weight throw.

 Im undecided on binding...any suggestions?

While i had the darning foot on i did some embroidery, another lingerie wash bag

i like how this one turned out. I used a tear away paper stabiliser

 on the back (made it so much easier)

and these little houses will become Christmas presents!

One Down, One To Go

I sewed the binding on this morning,

 i love the cocoa and white stripes

I basted this within an inch of it life and it still

puckered up on the back, Grrr!

A finished quilt is such a lovely thing though,

 dont you think?

I ll start on the next one now!

My Creative Space

 I would really like to complete a few of these

 quilts ive got lurking about,

so with the "help" of my trusty assistant

we basted and quilted one of the pinwheel quilts

Just need to sew on the binding now,

and i can start on something new!

Stuff

Ive been really slack on the blogging side of things lately,

 just busy with life i guess

 but ive managed to squeeze in a  little bit of sewing.

Ive been making another pinwheel quilt
 just in case our friends have a girl.
 I just love it when those pesky little points line up

...sometimes they do

...and sometimes they dont!

Ive also sewed a little pressie in the form of a lingerie washing bag!

 Pretty cute huh? I love playing with free motion embroidery,

 it is a lot of fun.

and i made myself this skirt .

I used the Make it Perfect wrap skirt pattern.

Very easy

I finished it a bit different to the instructions

 and think it is rather lovely,





   i think

it needs a doiley though.
